Tom Lloyd

Founder Trustee

Tom graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Economics, Banking and Finance. Tom found success as a Utah land developer. He co-founded the Good Samaritan Foundation to give back to the neighborhood he grew up in. His philanthropic mission is to “touch lives”.

James H. Woodward

Founder Trustee

Jim graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah, and a Master of Financial Services from the American College. His professional career is in financial investments and advising. He has held many positions professionally and in the community including president of the Salt Lake Association of Life Underwriters; director, steering committee for the University of Utah Planned Giving Foundation; member of advisory committee to Grant Taggart Symposium (BYU); and member of Utah State Insurance Board Continuing Education Committee.

Emily Taylor

Trustee

Emily is a business owner, designer, and author in the quilt industry. She is recognized by quilters worldwide for her innovation in the industry, and is a highly sought-after educator. Emily is a wife and mother of three children, and is an active member in her church and community. When not in her studio, she enjoys hiking, biking, and skiing in the Wasatch Mountains near her home in Sandy, UT.

Daniel Bay Gibbons

Trustee

Dan is a practicing attorney with more than 30 years experience in the legal profession, including 10 years as a trial judge in Salt Lake County, Utah. In 2011, Dan took a leave of absence from active work in the legal profession to serve as an unpaid ecclesiastical leader of approximately 3,500 Church members in Siberia and Central Asia.  In addition, Dan is a published author of many books.
